Positioning recommendation

Make every building run to your standard.

PRISM's broad market message should connect consistent daily execution with service quality and visible property performance. It gives property managers a useful promise, engineers a practical role and owners a reason to care. Revenue assurance becomes a focused campaign and demonstration within that larger story.

This is proposed messaging for testing. It does not claim that PRISM has an exclusive capability or that the proposed revenue-assurance agent is already available. Product claims below are grounded in public information accessed September 13, 2026; final sales materials must match the offered modules and deployment.

The current Building Engines site already addresses team workload, fragmented tools and limited visibility, then organizes the offering around Operations, Experience and AI. The opportunity is to bring those ideas together around a buyer's operating standard and show how it is achieved in practice. [1]

Why the broad message differs from the first wedge

The broad message opens the conversation; the financial wedge qualifies a specific buying problem. A portfolio leader, engineer and controller have different daily priorities. Leading every campaign with charge recovery would assume that finance pain drives every purchase. The proposed “run to your standard” message gives those roles a common operational outcome, then lets discovery select the relevant proof.

The evidence supports testing this direction: PRISM's product scope spans operations and experience, and its published Levin and RIDC accounts describe coordination and visibility problems. Those examples make the message plausible; they do not prove the headline will convert better. PRISM scope · Levin customer story · RIDC customer story

The trade-off is breadth: competitors can make similar consistency and visibility promises. PRISM must make the message concrete with a buyer-relevant workflow, a matching customer example and demonstrated results. If buyers cannot explain what PRISM does or qualified opportunities do not improve, revise the message. Keep the finance campaign for accounts with confirmed reconciliation pain. The deal rationale explains why that narrower experiment comes first.

Website and campaign copy

Headline

Make every building run to your standard.

Subheadline

PRISM connects property teams, tenant services and building operations so you can keep work moving, see where attention is needed and show owners how their properties are performing.

Product descriptor

Commercial building operations software from Building Engines, a JLL company.

Supporting promise

Less chasing. Clearer priorities. A more consistent experience across your properties.

The headline expresses the intended outcome. The subheadline makes the product legible. Demonstrations and customer evidence must establish the improvement; the wording alone does not differentiate the product.

Three messages to repeat

Message Customer-facing copy What the demonstration should show
Keep work moving Give property teams a shared view of requests, maintenance and the work that needs attention. A tenant request, assignment, field update and visible completion; measure the handoffs and manual follow-up.
Deliver a consistent tenant experience Make it easier for tenants to request service, stay informed and use building amenities. A representative tenant completes the required request or reservation, then receives the appropriate update.
Make performance visible Understand how buildings and teams are performing, and bring clearer answers to ownership. A portfolio question answered with the relevant building records; an operational or billing exception traced to its next action.

The public product pages support these workflow areas, with Operations, Experience and advanced capabilities packaged separately. Keep the proposal explicit about included features and partner dependencies. [1] [2]

A 30-second sales introduction

“Property teams are expected to deliver consistent service while managing a lot of moving parts. PRISM brings work orders, maintenance, tenant services and performance insights together, helping teams coordinate daily work and giving owners a clearer view across their properties. It is building operations software from Building Engines, a JLL company. We can show you how it fits the workflows that matter most to your team.”

For the next question, ask which process generates the most chasing today: service requests, maintenance, vendor follow-up or reporting to ownership. Use the answer to select the demonstration. Avoid a module-by-module tour before understanding the buying problem.

Message by audience

Audience Lead message Evidence to bring
Owners and asset managers Know where your properties need attention and how your operating teams are performing. Comparable property views, supporting records and an agreed performance measure.
Property managers and regional leaders Keep work moving across your properties with less status chasing. Assignment, escalation, communication and portfolio oversight on a realistic daily workflow.
Engineers and field teams See the work, capture the details and keep the team updated from the field. Actual mobile task completion, photos, labor entry and recovery after poor connectivity.
Finance and accounting Connect completed work with accurate, reviewable charges and accounting records. Rates, billability rules, approved adjustments and verified accounting state.
Tenant-experience leaders Give tenants a clear path to service, information and building amenities. Tenant usability and the required access or amenity integrations, with commercial scope stated.

These are audience-specific buying reasons under one brand promise. Do not make engineers responsible for delivering a finance pitch or expect owners to infer value from a mobile feature list.

AI messaging

Recommended line: “Get answers from your building data. Spend less time assembling them.”

Follow it with two or three specific examples: identify overdue work across enabled buildings, find equipment without a preventive-maintenance schedule, or extract vendor-invoice details for review. PRISM's support documentation describes operational Q&A across defined modules and invoice extraction with human review. Those are more precise examples than a blanket claim that AI autonomously runs the property. [6] [7]

In the main story, AI explains how teams can work more effectively. For buyers actively evaluating AI, lead with the use case and make the required modules and data scope explicit. Measure whether the answer or extraction is correct and useful, and how much work remains afterward.

Do not market the proposed complete revenue-assurance agent as shipping. Keep automated financial correction, downstream posting verification and collection tracking in a clearly identified pilot or future-product narrative until they have been validated.

JLL's role in the message

Use “Built for commercial real estate. Backed by JLL.” as a credibility line, supported by the established Building Engines relationship and practical operator examples. [3] [5]

Explain the relevance: commercial properties have real maintenance schedules, tenant obligations, field teams and owner-reporting requirements. Then demonstrate the associated workflow. JLL's name helps establish the context; the product and implementation must earn the performance claim.

For independent owners and third-party managers, show a relevant customer reference and explain the software, service and data arrangements clearly. Do not imply that adopting PRISM requires JLL property management, or that JLL branding alone proves superior usability or support.

Proof to use in the market

Customer evidence Appropriate message Boundary
Levin Management A property team brought work orders and inspections together and improved coordination across a mixed portfolio. [4] Vendor-published customer story; it does not quantify universal savings or prove superiority over Cove or Visitt.
RIDC An industrial operator consolidated disconnected tools and improved visibility and vendor-work coordination across its portfolio. [8] Useful industrial proof; do not convert its experience into a guaranteed outcome for every buyer.
JLL Tri-state Field documentation, inspections and communication are practical parts of the PRISM operating story. [5] Affiliated customer account; use alongside independent customer references and verify the buyer's required field flow.

Place one concrete example beside each promise. A named role, a recognizable workflow and an observable result will usually be more useful than a row of unsupported superlatives. Obtain the necessary internal substantiation and usage rights before reusing customer quotes or quantified outcomes in new campaigns.

Three campaign directions

Portfolio consistency

Audience: Regional property leaders and owners.

Headline: Keep your standards consistent across every property.

Body: Bring requests, maintenance and team updates into a shared operating view. See where work needs attention and give ownership clearer answers with PRISM.

Offer: A walkthrough of one regional manager's day, from checking overdue work to reviewing property performance.

First discovery question: Where does your team spend the most time gathering status across properties?

Daily team coordination

Audience: Property managers and operational champions.

Headline: Spend less of your day chasing the next update.

Body: Give your team a clear view of requests, assignments and maintenance work. PRISM helps you coordinate the people and details that keep your building running.

Offer: A service-request demonstration that includes both the manager and engineer experience.

First discovery question: When a tenant asks for an update, how many people or systems do you need to check?

Financial follow-through

Audience: Controllers, asset managers and operations leaders with chargeback pain.

Headline: Give completed work a clear path to accounting.

Body: Connect service records, labor and material charges, and accounting workflows with PRISM. See the steps involved in reviewing and transferring billable work.

Offer: An assessment of a small sample of completed services and their accounting records.

First discovery question: How do you confirm that eligible completed work was billed correctly?

This third campaign is the narrow commercial wedge from the deal playbook. Existing billing and integration functions can support it; any additional detective or corrective agent work must be labeled according to its actual availability. PRISM's Yardi guide distinguishes transfer from downstream posting. [9]

Draft outbound email

Subject: A clearer view across your properties

Hi [First name],

When work updates sit across email, spreadsheets and field notes, preparing an answer for a tenant or owner can take more effort than it should.

PRISM brings work orders, maintenance, tenant services and reporting together to help property teams coordinate daily operations and see what needs attention.

Would a short walkthrough of your team's most time-consuming workflow be useful? We can focus on the handoffs, the field experience and the information ownership needs.

Competitive use

In broad campaigns, keep the buyer's work and outcomes central. In a named comparison, demonstrate the agreed workflow and its complete commercial scope. Cove and Visitt both make unified-platform and AI claims; these words alone cannot establish PRISM's advantage. [10] [11]

Against Cove, include tenant experience and deployment support in the proof. Against Visitt, include frontline adoption and the relevant AI workflow. For either, measure the buyer's result rather than reducing the competitor to its original product category.

Words such as “only,” “best,” “most advanced,” “zero manual work” or universal ROI percentages create claims the evidence must support. Prefer a specific operation, customer example and measured pilot result. Do not make current-version reliability claims from historical app ratings.

Message testing

Test the recommended portfolio-standard message against a day-to-day coordination variant and an AI-specific variant within comparable audience segments. Keep offers, targeting and sales follow-up consistent enough to interpret the difference. The financial campaign belongs in the accounting-pain segment rather than in every broad-market test.

Ask buyers to explain what PRISM does, who they think it is for and why they would consider changing their current process. Record whether they spontaneously repeat the intended outcome and name a real problem they want demonstrated.

Track qualified meetings, accepted opportunities, the buying problem identified and progression to a relevant demonstration. Click-through rate alone can reward curiosity without purchase intent. Use existing conversion baselines and a pre-agreed decision rule; no conversion uplift is established by this proposal.
